So yesterday was MeeToo's birthday, and we took the boy and his sister to Home Depot for their kid's workshop. As quick as Seester is to find freebies, I was surprised this was Princess Legal Eagle's first visit. Hyperactive Lad was an excellent example (without medication, yet!) and Himself managed to get MeeToo to try to do something new. He didn't like the idea at first, because he "always get it wrong". I hope we can work around that. They all came back with pencil-boxes which will probably be used at home, because the school system is paranoid about what they cannot see through.
This is also the weekend for the education-related sales tax holiday. We shopped for school items without the kids - it's amazing how much less you spend that way. MawMaw, bless her heart, went shopping for the kids earlier in the week using the supply list from the school in her neigborhood, never mind it isn't the same district for any of the kids. Doing shopping for Hyperactive Lad's list from memory, and checking this morning, I found I did pretty well.
Yes, MawMaw is here as well, and she has problems in conversations now. It's as if she has a dialogue loop rather than a dialogue tree to work with. I hate to do this to her, but the only way to get her off one of her looping conversations is to go do something else for half an hour to let her reset. She also will not stay out of the kitchen, even if there is a crowd in there already. I'm just glad she didn't drive here - and just as glad she is staying an extra day so we don't have to drive her back.
Hm, I just noticed a hole in the posting schedule - I will backpost Chapter 29 when I'm awake enough to get the code straight. (Edit: Here'tis.) Also, a week later, and nobody got Calendar Girls, Forbidden Zone, American Pop, or Theatre of Blood on the movie quote meme.
Right, the sun has cleared the treeline, I'm going to start making coffee.
