I cannot see their faces.

I do not want to see them. I have to have some distance from the clients, else I would be in worse shape than I am now. It is bad enought that I have to see what is wrong with them, but I really do not need to get any closer, because it will shred me.
I already have problems with letting friends know I might have issues, not that they don't already know I'm not right, but I don't want to dump on them the way the clients dump on me.

Date: 2007-10-17 06:23 pm (UTC)Clients dump on you because it's your job, it's your paid function, and you distance yourself to survive the personal pains of utter strangers.
Friends help support each other because they care, and because they are anything BUT utter strangers.
You deal with them because you're paid to; we deal with you because we love you. Please note the difference, and act accordingly. ;]

Pain that's shared is pain that's halved
Music is worship in purest form
The singer, the song, can become One
And chorus increase the pow'r
Sing with me, I'll sing with you
O Lynn, we'll sing the pain on high-
Project away, bid it begone
Until pain's vanished;
but the music goes on
