I needed some exercise this week anyway. Both [livejournal.com profile] sff_corgi and [livejournal.com profile] blueeyedtigress have sucked me into this meme:

If you make up titles for stories I didn't write,
I will respond with details of those non-written stories.

It may be a synopsis, drabble, ficlet, or - Gnu help me - a real story.

It may not be what you expect. But then, most of y'all know me.

"The Further Adventures of Ernst and Kim"

"And no drum did sound"

"Sweet as ash, light as honey"

"Smoke Brothers"

"As Honey in the Mouths of Wolves" (this is the working title of something I'm writing, but I'd like to see what it inspires in other people)

I am working on this, hones - but Ernst and Kim morphed into something I need to post next month, and I can't seem to get away from the Chicano accent for the brothers. :P

Elena noted Tasha was still moving about. She asked, “What is wrong, little sister?”

Tasha sighed, “It’s that news story Dad tried to distract me from this afternoon.”

Elena scanned the news articles released that day, and replied, “I suppose you are still worried about the court proceedings. Projections indicate he will be released with probation.”

“I’m worried the probation will be too easy for him to violate, and she won’t care enough to warn him.”

“Ah, of course - Do you plan to be involved?”

After a moment’s silence, Tasha said, “Prep the Bowman ID for activation.”

“Of course, Three.”

What, you mean you hadn't read this (http://annechen67.livejournal.com/117459.html) yet?

Not all of it, I confess. I've been waiting for an opportunity to read it from the beginning.

I didn't really mean that there wasn't any more, just that it so clearly leads to something else. And I haven't read enough of the story to recognize where it fits.

The entire collective could drop in your head at a moment’s notice, which might not be convenient or even prudent, normals mistaking me for one of my brothers, and mads trying to get in my… circuits; and these were the problems before she moved in with him. I must say that the accessibility of repairs counts in her favor, but the whole idea of being a family rather than a production run is a new paradigm. Family gatherings have to be carefully scheduled or held at a sports stadium. There are more than ten thousand of us now, you know.
