I needed some exercise this week anyway. Both
sff_corgi and
blueeyedtigress have sucked me into this meme:
If you make up titles for stories I didn't write,
I will respond with details of those non-written stories.
It may be a synopsis, drabble, ficlet, or - Gnu help me - a real story.
It may not be what you expect. But then, most of y'all know me.

February 16th, Shortly After Midnight
Date: 2007-04-02 06:12 pm (UTC)Tasha sighed, “It’s that news story Dad tried to distract me from this afternoon.”
Elena scanned the news articles released that day, and replied, “I suppose you are still worried about the court proceedings. Projections indicate he will be released with probation.”
“I’m worried the probation will be too easy for him to violate, and she won’t care enough to warn him.”
“Ah, of course - Do you plan to be involved?”
After a moment’s silence, Tasha said, “Prep the Bowman ID for activation.”
“Of course, Three.”

The Trials and Tribulations of Being One in Ten Thousand
Date: 2007-04-26 09:39 pm (UTC)The entire collective could drop in your head at a moment’s notice, which might not be convenient or even prudent, normals mistaking me for one of my brothers, and mads trying to get in my… circuits; and these were the problems before she moved in with him. I must say that the accessibility of repairs counts in her favor, but the whole idea of being a family rather than a production run is a new paradigm. Family gatherings have to be carefully scheduled or held at a sports stadium. There are more than ten thousand of us now, you know.
