“Luci?”
“Yes, Hans.” Luci was head-and-shoulders in the tavern’s generator, and seemed distracted enough to be safe.
“Why did you pitch Johann into the midden?”
“He assumed I would agree to being his Gertrud.”
“He never was right in the head.”
Luci growled as she straightened, grasping the spanner in a threatening manner - “What is that supposed to mean?”
“Never assume anything about a woman who was raised by Jäger Taufpaten. If you had wanted him, he would be tied up in your attic by now.”
“Basement.”
“Zeg was?”
“Better soundproofing.”
“Oh.”
“Want to test it?”
