“Yes, my lord?” she asked, briefly looking up from her worktable.

“The great hall is exquisite, but I do believe I heard the tree… singing. Did you, by any chance, make the ornaments yourself?”

“With the Fifty Families and your father coming for Christmas, of course I did.”

“Oh, when you put it that way, my love - do you need any assistance?”
