“I’m not a mother yet, but thanks.”

“Don’t give me that, I know what the Mark II series calls you. Even if you haven’t procreated biologically, you are still considered a mother.”

“Oh, I didn’t mean they are not mine, just that most of the time, I can reason with them. I haven’t had to resort to ‘Because I’m your mother’ as a closing argument yet.”

“I don’t recall ever having to use that argument with you… your younger siblings, but not you.”

“Only because Dad beat you to it.”

“Ah.”
